ClickTime 7.66

The release of ClickTime version 7.66 includes reporting, exporting and Resource Planning improvements. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning – Export to Excel – Data exports to Excel now more closely match what you see on screen. When you hide worked time or allocated time in your on-screen Resource Planning grid, this will also exclude it from your Excel exports.
  2. Detail Person – We made several improvements to the new page for adding and editing people. The new page will continue to be rolled out to more companies over the next several weeks.
  3. QuickBooks Connector – Performance with Long Project Lists – We improved the performance of retrieving long job lists.
  4. Customizable Data Export & Excel Linking – Date Format Change – We changed the format of timesheet entry dates from either MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY (depending on your company setting) to the standard format of YYYY-MM-DD. This improves how Excel handles the dates when performing data manipulation, Pivot Tables and other reporting visualizations.
  5. Expense Export (beta) – We fixed miscellaneous issues with this report.
  6. Bug fix: Desktop App – We fixed an issue that prevented some people from signing in and using the ClickTime Desktop App.

ClickTime 7.48

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.48 with an updated REST API and improvements to the company dashboard, single sign-on and reporting. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. REST API version 1.2 – We have a new version of our REST API with new and enhanced methods. This includes support for single sign-on authentication, time off and expense receipts. Version 1.2 of the REST API is accessible by all customers. If you're interested in building and integrating your own custom application with ClickTime, check out our web services documentation.
  2. Single Sign-On (SSO) Enhancements – Customers can now specify the particular sign-on provider to enable for their company (e.g. Google Apps, OneLogin, etc.).
  3. Single Sign-On (SSO) with Okta – Enterprise-level accounts can now sign in to ClickTime using SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) via Okta. Our new partnership with Okta gives ClickTime Enterprise users another option to easily integrate with Active Directory.
  4. Company Dashboard – Recent Timesheets – You can now drill-down into a Timesheet Review directly from the "Recent Timesheet Status" dashboard panel. Just click on the numbers of timesheets that are open, rejected or waiting for approval to get more information.
  5. New Report: Task Availability - Customers using Task List Controls may now download an Excel file showing which tasks are available for each active project. This report includes support for Excel Linking, enabling Enterprise customers to pull the data via XML directly into an existing Excel file or other third-party tools for easy custom reporting and integration.
  6. Bug fix: Locking Timesheets by a Manager - Fixed an issue that prevented a person's timesheet from being locked by a manager when the company is configured for timesheet approvals but the person was not yet configured to submit the timesheet for approval.
  7. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We support the most recent versions of IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for updated information about supported versions of these web browsers.

ClickTime 6.9

With the release of ClickTime version 6.9, we added the ability to use custom fields in your timesheets and introduced other enhancements as follows:

    1. Timesheet Custom Fields – In addition to tracking client, project and task information, you can now easily add custom fields for your employees to fill out with each timesheet entry. The custom fields can be almost anything you want, including text, numbers, currency, pop-down lists and more.

    1. Customizable Data Export and Excel Linking – Custom fields associated with timesheet entries are exportable via the Customizable Data Export report. This custom field data is also directly retrievable within your own custom Excel charts and dashboards (via the Excel Linking feature available to Corporate customers).

    1. Report Builder – We’ve improved the Report Builder tool to support custom fields associated with timesheet entries. Now you can also include data from up to 15 different custom fields in each report that you create.

    1. Timesheet View – We updated the Timesheet View to include Timesheet Custom Field information.

    1. Horizontal Timesheet – We updated the Horizontal Timesheet report to include Timesheet Custom Field information.

    1. Week View – You can now resize the column widths on your timesheet via the Options menu. This includes the ability to resize the client, job, task and custom field columns. You can also use custom fields in the Week View time entry screen with all supported browsers.

    1. Day View (beta) – We updated this time entry interface to support custom fields and resizing of client, job, task and custom field column widths via the Options menu.

    1. Extended Session Length – We added longer session length options to all accounts, including Basic & Corporate customers. All customers who were previously set to the maximum length available (4 hours for Basic and 8 hours for Corporate customers) are now automatically set to 12 hours. In your company preferences, you may change this to a duration as long as 24 hours or as short as 30 minutes.

    1. Expense Sheets – We refreshed the look-and-feel of the expense tracking interfaces to match the updated aesthetics of the time-tracking portion of the application.

    1. Password Strength – We added 18 symbols to the allowed list of characters that can be used in your ClickTime password. Now you can create even stronger passwords than before.

    1. Omani Rial – We added the Omani Rial (OMR) as a currency option. You can now enter your expense items in this currency. You may also select the Omani Rial as your company’s primary currency via Company Preferences.

    1. Web Browser Compatibility – We continue to support the most current versions of the most popular web browsers. This includes the recently released Chrome 14 and Firefox 7. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for more information about supported browsers.
