ClickTime Version 9.27
ClickTime Version 9.27 includes the following updates:
- Salaried Employee Cost Model – We’ve created a new cost model to more accurately capture the hourly costs of Salaried Employees. By spreading a fixed cost per timesheet across the hours each person actually worked, you’ll derive the effective cost of each hour a salaried employee contributes to a project. This data measures the true costs, performance, and success of projects and employees.
- Legacy Mobile App Deprecation – We’ve deprecated the legacy ClickTime mobile app. Actions and new logins are blocked from the legacy app. To keep using ClickTime on mobile, please download our new mobile application, available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
ClickTime Version 9.01 includes the following updates:
- Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) – this robust new platform allows you to visualize ClickTime data in new ways, monitor trends, schedule reports for automatic distribution, and more! - REST API v2: Jobs/{jobID}/Divisions – Added the ability to manage Project List Controls for companies using the “moderate” setting (control which projects are visible to each division).
- REST API v2: Jobs/{jobID}/Users – Added the ability to manage Project List Controls for companies using the “maximum” setting (control which projects are visible on a person-by-person basis).
- REST API v2: Jobs/{jobID}/Tasks – Added the ability to manage Task List Controls for companies set to control which tasks are visible based on the project selected.
- REST API v2 – Added the “TimesheetModelCustomNumberOfDays” property to the “GET /Company” endpoint.
- Improved the “Action Comment” details listed in the audit log regarding timesheet actions (submitting, rejecting, approving, etc.).
- Bug fix – Fixed issue with Azure AD single sign-on (SSO) logins that would fail when initiated from the identity provider.
- Bug fix – Fixed an issue with the REST API v2 “PATCH /ExpenseItems” endpoint when a manager edited an expense item and incorrectly attempted to change the mileage rate. The company’s default mileage rate is now used rather than setting the rate to zero.
- Bug fix – Fixed an email issue when submitting an expense sheet for approval from the mobile app. Expense type names are now properly appearing in the expense sheet approval request email.
ClickTime Version 8.93 includes the following updates:
- Administrators can now add and subtract leave type balances in bulk by navigating to the Advanced page under the Company tab and clicking on “Update Leave Type Balances”.
- Added a Mobile App page under the Personal tab so people can learn more about our new mobile app for iOS and Android.
- Bug fix – Resolved an issue when creating new jobs with the REST API v2 that would incorrectly update job and task list controls.

ClickTime 7.97
The release of ClickTime 7.97 included a new Mobile Application, more intuitive Job drop-down menus, and various bug fixes. Here’s what’s new:
- New Mobile Application – A new version of the iPhone and Android Mobile was released with improvements for modern phone operating systems.
- Project Details drop-down – You can now type-ahead to find the appropriate Client option on the Project Detail drop-down menus.
- Bug Fix: Submitted By on Horizontal Timesheets (pdf versions) – The “Submitted by” field now appears in pdf versions of Horizontal Timesheets that were created in bulk.
- Bug Fix: Project Manager drop-down – The Project Manager options are now sorted alphabetically by name.

ClickTime 7.96
The Release of ClickTime 7.96 included upgrades to our API, the creation of a “No Currency” option, and other updates. Here’s what was included in the release:
- IE10 and older – We no longer support the usage of older versions of Internet Explorer on the Company, Resource Planning or Project Insights pages
- Google SSO – TechSoup customers can now use Google Applications Single Sign-On Methods
- No Currency option – We created a “no currency” or “n/a” option for organizations that do not want their amounts to be currency-specific
- Bug Fix: REST API – REST API 1.3 calls will now exclude inactive users
- Bug Fix: Report Builder – We addressed an issue where updates to the Report Builder format removed the date range from the report
- Bug Fix: Notification URL – We updated the URL included in some notification emails for companies using the dd/mm/yyyy format
Late yesterday we released ClickTime version 7.82.1 to resolve an issue some customers were experiencing when adding and editing timesheet entries using the Mobile App. We updated the REST API to resolve the issue.
The release of ClickTime version 7.82 includes a new page design and improved functionality for reviewing and approving timesheets. We also made improvements to the REST API and reports. Here's what's new in this release:
- Timesheet Review – We updated the UI and improved functionality for reviewing and approving timesheets. For more information about the changes, check out our Timesheet Review blog post.
- Detail Project – We made several enhancements to the new page for adding and editing projects.
- Expense Sheet Report – We added a "mileage grand total" at the end of an expense sheet.
- REST API – You can now review, create, edit and delete projects (a.k.a. jobs) using version 1.3 of the REST API. If you're interested in building your own custom integration with ClickTime, check out our web services documentation.
- Day View – We improved the messaging when a person's "end date" prevents the creation of timesheet entries in the future.
- Bug Fix: Day View – We now identify a time off row as “incomplete” when a person enters a note but not an hour value.
- Bug Fix: "Billing Summary with Client Detail" Report – Fixed "billable hours grand total" calculation in this report. Also fixed an issue with the page title when exporting to PDF.
- Mobile App Compatibility – The ClickTime Mobile App works properly with the new iOS 9 from Apple. We've also tested the Mobile App with the beta version of Android Marshmallow and are working to resolve one known issue. Go to the App Store or the Google Play store to install the Mobile App today.
There's a new version of the ClickTime Mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. ClickTime Mobile lets you record and submit time and expenses while you are on the go. This release (version 1.3.133 for iOS and version 1.3.135 for Android) includes the following:
- Enhancements for Single Sign-On (SSO) – Added support for SAML single sign-on (SSO) including Okta, OneLogin and custom SAML integrations.
- New sign-in screen
- Improved support for Android 5 (Lollipop)
