ClickTime 7.83

The release of ClickTime version 7.83 includes improvements to the Timesheet Review and Person Detail pages. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Detail Person – We improved performance when retrieving long lists of potential timesheet and expense sheet approvers.
  2. Bug Fix: Timesheet Review – We fixed an issue with the date filters that affected customers with timesheets that start on Saturday.
  3. Browser Compatibility – We continue to support the most current versions of the most popular web browsers. This includes the recently released Chrome 45, Firefox 41 and Safari 9. Additionally, as we previously announced, IE8 and older are no longer supported for administrative functionality located under the Company tab. ClickTime 7.48

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.48 with an updated REST API and improvements to the company dashboard, single sign-on and reporting. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. REST API version 1.2 – We have a new version of our REST API with new and enhanced methods. This includes support for single sign-on authentication, time off and expense receipts. Version 1.2 of the REST API is accessible by all customers. If you're interested in building and integrating your own custom application with ClickTime, check out our web services documentation.
  2. Single Sign-On (SSO) Enhancements – Customers can now specify the particular sign-on provider to enable for their company (e.g. Google Apps, OneLogin, etc.).
  3. Single Sign-On (SSO) with Okta – Enterprise-level accounts can now sign in to ClickTime using SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) via Okta. Our new partnership with Okta gives ClickTime Enterprise users another option to easily integrate with Active Directory.
  4. Company Dashboard – Recent Timesheets – You can now drill-down into a Timesheet Review directly from the "Recent Timesheet Status" dashboard panel. Just click on the numbers of timesheets that are open, rejected or waiting for approval to get more information.
  5. New Report: Task Availability - Customers using Task List Controls may now download an Excel file showing which tasks are available for each active project. This report includes support for Excel Linking, enabling Enterprise customers to pull the data via XML directly into an existing Excel file or other third-party tools for easy custom reporting and integration.
  6. Bug fix: Locking Timesheets by a Manager - Fixed an issue that prevented a person's timesheet from being locked by a manager when the company is configured for timesheet approvals but the person was not yet configured to submit the timesheet for approval.
  7. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We support the most recent versions of IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for updated information about supported versions of these web browsers.

ClickTime 7.41

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.41 with improvements to the company dashboard, reporting and the employee detail page. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Design Preview of Employee Detail Page – We improved performance when performing historical updates to billing and cost rates, and fixed various issues.
  2. Report Builder – You may now use "Role" in your custom reports including summaries, sub-totals, charts and cross-tabs.
  3. Bug fix: Company Dashboard – Recent Timesheet Status – Clicking the "Full Report" link now creates a report exclusive to the people displayed in the dashboard panel.
  4. Bug fix: Company Dashboard – Projects to Watch – Managers with permission to create and edit projects but without permission to view Resource Planning data may no longer use the "Projects to Watch" company dashboard panel.
  5. Bug fix: DCAA – Fixed an issue with entering the explanation for changes to a DCAA-flagged timesheet entry that contained a near-maximum length time entry note.
  6. Bug fix: DCAA – Fixed an issue that caused DCAA-flagged timesheets to be identified as "changed" when using the "tab" key to navigate through timesheet entries.
  7. Bug fix: Project List View – Fixed an issue that caused custom billing rates to be incorrectly displayed in the project list view.
  8. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We support the recently released IE 11, Chrome 30 and Safari 6.1. We also support the Windows 8.1 operating system. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for more information about supported browsers.

ClickTime 7.1

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.1. Included in this release is sharing of custom reports, Google single sign-on, DCAA enhancements and many more new and improved features:

  1. Report Builder – Share Your Reports – You can now share reports you create using the Report Builder tool with other people in your company.
  2. Google Single Sign-On (SSO) – We now offer the ability to sign in to ClickTime using your Gmail or Google Apps account. Companies can choose whether to enable this option in the Security section of your company preferences.
  3. DCAA Enhancements – We've enhanced the overall functionality for companies who need to be compliant with DCAA guidelines. This includes an upgrade to the latest version of Day View which includes faster and less intrusive "DCAA explanation" entry. We've also added the flexibility to allow entering worked time on future dates for those companies that require it.
  4. Dashboard Panel – Recent Client WorkClient hours worked - Dashboard panelThere's a new dashboard panel showing client hours worked in the past week. Managers and administrators can add and customize this panel on their ClickTime Dashboard. The new dashboard panel will give your management team new insights into the performance of your company.
  5. Custom Sign-In Page – Enterprise customers now get a custom sign-in page with a custom URL (e.g. YourCompany.clicktime.com) and your company logo.The customizable appearance options are available only to Enterprise customers.
  6. Custom Branding – Enterprise customers now get custom branding inside the application which incorporates your Custom Branding in ClickTimecompany's logo and a selection of color "themes" to pick from. The customizable appearance options are available only to Enterprise customers.
  7. Company Logo on Reports – You can now easily add your logo to your company's timesheet report as well as 20 other pre-built reports. Go to the Customization area of your company preferences to add your company's logo.
  8. Reports Updated – We updated 20 pre-built reports to include options for viewing the report directly in your browser (HTML) or export them to PDF or Excel for all supported browsers and platforms. The updated reports also can display your company logo in the page header.
  9. Forecasting with ClickTime's Report BuilderReport Builder – Data Forecasting - You now can easily generate data forecasts in your charts. Report Builder uses a combination of statistical methods to generate values for future time periods.
  10. Day View & Stopwatch – We've made numerous improvements to the Day View time entry interface including an enhanced stopwatch.
  11. Old Week View - We no longer support the old Week View time entry interface. This was only used by IE6 which is not a supported browser. Unsupported browsers are still able to sign-in and use the old Day View interface to enter time.
  12. Web Browser and Operating System Compatibility – We continue to support the most current versions of the most popular web browsers and the latest operating systems. This includes the upcoming Windows 8 and the recently released Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), iOS 6, Firefox 15, Chrome 22, and Safari 6. ClickTime 6.96

With ClickTime version 6.96, we added "recently used" values to your timesheet entry screens, improved custom reporting and introduced other enhancements as follows:

  1. Recently Selected Items – When selecting your client, project and task on your timesheet entry screens (Day View and Week View) you will now see the 5 most recently selected values at the top of each list. This will make filling in your timesheet even faster.
  2. Report Builder Updated – We updated the Report Builder to have an easier-to-use interface, including the ability to drag-and-drop columns to rearrange your custom report. Additionally, there's now an option to hide detail rows so you can easily create custom summary reports.
  3. Task List Controls – Sort by Task Code – When managing a job and using Task List Controls (limiting which tasks are available to the project), you can now sort the list of tasks by either task name or task code by clicking on the appropriate column heading.
  4. Time Off Report Updated – We improved the "Leave Type Detail" time off report for people using Leave Type Controls.
  5. Web Browser Compatibility – We continue to support the most current versions of the most popular web browsers. This includes the recently released Firefox 11, Chrome 17.x, and Safari 5.1.4. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for more information about supported browsers.

ClickTime 6.72

We are happy to release ClickTime version 6.72. The update includes new functionality and performance improvements to our Day View beta as well as an improved look-and-feel for most of the management pages. The changes are as follows:

  1. Day View (beta) – We added support for sub-jobs (e.g. phases and sub-phases) and implemented numerous bug fixes and performance improvements. This time entry interface should be much faster now, especially for people with 10 or more timesheet entries per day.
  2. Updated UI – We updated the look and feel of nearly all of the pages under the Company tab. You can expect to see these changes continue into other areas of ClickTime over the next few months.
  3. Report Menu – We updated the look and feel of the Report menus. We've made it easier to access and select pre-built reports as well as your custom reports.
  4. iOS and Browser Compatibility – We continue to support all major modern browsers including the following new releases:
    • Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9
    • Google's Chrome 10
    • Mozilla's Firefox 4
    • Apple's iOS 4.3 and its Safari browser on the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone and iPod Touch.
