ClickTime 7.5

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.5 with new automated reminders and improvements to Resource Planning. Here’s what’s new in this release:

  1. Reminders for Timesheet Approvers – Customers using the Timesheet Approvals module can now schedule automatic reminders for all timesheet approvers who have one or more timesheets awaiting their approval. You can enable this reminder by going to the “Advanced” area under the “Company” tab and clicking the Automated Notifications option.
  2. Resource Planning – We added the ability for an administrator to clear out all budgets and/or allocations from a particular month. Additionally, the administrator may also now trigger a “Quick Month” at any time to copy budgets and/or allocations from a previous month into a new month.
  3. Expense Export (beta) – We significantly improved the speed of the beta version of the customizable expense export report.
  4. SOAP API – We added a sample SOAP web services project for Visual Studio to help customers get started using our SOAP API. Please review the web services documentation to download the sample project. We also fixed a string-matching capitalization issue with the division name and employment type name values for the AddPerson, AddPersonConfirmation and UpdatePerson methods.
  5. Expense Receipts and Firefox – We implemented a workaround for a bug in the Firefox web browser that could prevent expense receipt PDF files from being uploaded.
  6. Bug fix: Day View – Sub-Jobs and IE9 – We fixed a display issue when the Day View timesheet entry screen was used with sub-jobs and version 9 of Internet Explorer (IE9).
  7. Bug fix: Week View – Sorting Lists – Customized displays of project and task lists now sort correctly.
  8. Bug fix: Company Dashboard – Time Entry Completion – Today is now properly identified in the “Time Entry Completion” dashboard panel for all time zones.
  9. Bug fix: DCAA Timesheet Entry – A web browser can now scroll down properly to enter explanations when making many simultaneous changes to timesheet entries from the past.
  10. Bug fix: Timesheet Review – You can now properly review timesheets for inactive people.

ClickTime 7.41

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.41 with improvements to the company dashboard, reporting and the employee detail page. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Design Preview of Employee Detail Page – We improved performance when performing historical updates to billing and cost rates, and fixed various issues.
  2. Report Builder – You may now use "Role" in your custom reports including summaries, sub-totals, charts and cross-tabs.
  3. Bug fix: Company Dashboard – Recent Timesheet Status – Clicking the "Full Report" link now creates a report exclusive to the people displayed in the dashboard panel.
  4. Bug fix: Company Dashboard – Projects to Watch – Managers with permission to create and edit projects but without permission to view Resource Planning data may no longer use the "Projects to Watch" company dashboard panel.
  5. Bug fix: DCAA – Fixed an issue with entering the explanation for changes to a DCAA-flagged timesheet entry that contained a near-maximum length time entry note.
  6. Bug fix: DCAA – Fixed an issue that caused DCAA-flagged timesheets to be identified as "changed" when using the "tab" key to navigate through timesheet entries.
  7. Bug fix: Project List View – Fixed an issue that caused custom billing rates to be incorrectly displayed in the project list view.
  8. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We support the recently released IE 11, Chrome 30 and Safari 6.1. We also support the Windows 8.1 operating system. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for more information about supported browsers.

ClickTime 7.4

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.4 with improved single sign-on (SSO) options and enhancements to Resource Planning and the employee detail page. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Single Sign-On (SSO) – Enterprise-level accounts can now sign in to ClickTime using SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) via OneLogin. Our new partnership with OneLogin lets ClickTime Enterprise users easily integrate with Active Directory.
  2. Design Preview of Employee Detail Page – Administrators can now edit managerial settings on the new employee detail page. Managers may now also use the new employee detail page.
  3. Resource Planning – We made it easier to filter people and projects by increasing the default selection window size and by remembering your selections while editing saved filters. You can now also set your company preferences to hide the "Non Allocated" project from Resource Planning. IE 8 users can now also view the lifetime budget chart. 
  4. List Views – Billing rates and cost rates are no longer visible in people, project and task lists when viewed by managers who do not have permission to "view costs" or "view billing rates" in reports.
  5. Bug fix: New Projects – Fixed an issue when creating a new non-billable job for companies without Resource Planning and lifetime budgets enabled.
  6. Bug fix: DCAA – Fixed an issue that may prevent editing old time entries on a DCAA-flagged timesheet.
  7. Bug fix: Report Previews – Report preview images now display on the client and project detail pages.
  8. Bug fix: Week View – You can now properly view old timesheet entries that are associated with inactive types of time off.

ClickTime 7.35

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.35 with a new "set my home page" feature and improvements to Resource Planning, reporting and the employee detail page. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Set My Home Page – You may now decide which page is the first page you see when you sign into ClickTime. Click the "Set as Home Page" link at the bottom right corner of a page to designate it as your home page.
  2. Design Preview of Employee Detail Page – We added support for all billing rate models, automatic saving when navigating between tabs, improved in-line messaging, and fixed various issues with IE8 and IE9.
  3. Resource Planning – We've improved performance in Resource Planning for Internet Explorer 10 users and fixed a minor sorting issue.
  4. Week View – We improved performance for the week-at-a-glance timesheet entry mode.
  5. Day View – We improved the messaging if something goes askew while using a stopwatch to update your timesheet.
  6. Report Previews – We updated the report preview screenshots for Company and Personal reports to make it even easier to find the perfect report.
  7. ClickTime Desktop App – We updated the application with better looking icons for people using Windows 7.
  8. Dashboard Improvements – We improved the Time Entry Completion and "Projects to Watch" panels for managers with limited permissions. The top area of the dashboard with links to help and a video tour may also now be hidden from view by clicking the "hide" link.
  9. Bug fix: Project Lifetime Overview Report – Fixed an issue when the report was run for a project with no time entered against it.
  10. Bug fix: Stopwatch – Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions starting and stopping stopwatches as the computer's clock crossed midnight, a stopwatch could by started for yesterday.
  11. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We support the recently released Chrome 29 and Firefox 23. Check out the ClickTime system requirements for more information about supported browsers.

ClickTime 7.31

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.31 with improvements to reporting and Resource Planning. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Reporting – We adjusted the formating of our Client Billing Summary (Excel) report. Exports are now easier to format and edit within Excel.
  2. Resource Planning – New Export Format – We’ve updated the existing Resource Planning export to XLSX format. The new format supports exports containing more than 250 columns.

ClickTime 7.3

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.3 with improvements to Resource Planning, lifetime budgets, and reporting. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning – Lifetime Budgets – We added the ability to track lifetime budgets in Resource Planning. You can now track projects that span multiple months and easily visualize where you stand this month in relation to the overall lifetime of your projects.

  2. Resource Planning – Company Lock Date – Months are now considered locked when the last day of a month is on or before your company lock date.

  3. Reporting – Job Lifetime Overview Report – We added a new report that shows summaries of lifetime budgets as well as all worked billings, their variance, and the monthly worked averages for Clients.

  4. Reporting – Budget Summary Report – We updated the budget summary report to include lifetime budget data.

Bugfix: People List Search – List search works when the role column is displayed.

ClickTime 7.23

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.23 with improvements to Resource Planning and managerial permissions. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning – Task-Based Billing Rates – We added support for companies who bill by task. Now companies who use task-based billing models can use ClickTime for Resource Planning.
  2. Managerial Permissions – We built new permission rules and managerial controls into the Resouce Planning suite. Companies using Resource Planning can now easily fine-tune access and permissions for managers.

ClickTime 7.22

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.22 with improvements to Resource Planning and reporting. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning – New Dashboard Panel – We built a new "Budgets to Watch" Dashboard Panel to quickly identify the projects that are over- and under-budget.

    – We built a new "Resource Planning Budget Summary" report to show you which projects are over- and under-budget across a specified date range.
  3. Web Browsers – ClickTime continues to offer best-in-class browser support. We've improved the experience on Microsoft's latest Internet Explorer (version 10).   4. REST API – We improved security on REST SSL connections.

ClickTime 7.2

We are happy to announce the release of ClickTime version 7.2 with improvements to Resource Planning and reporting. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning - Saved FiltersResource Planning – Saved Filters – We've added the ability to save custom filters in Resource Planning. Now you can quickly pull up custom-built Resource Planning filters that display the metrics that matter most to you. We've provided several helpful filters to get you started.
  2. Resource Planning – New Charting – We've updated the charts in Resource Planning to enhance data visualization. Now charts are bolder, more vivid, and easier to read.
  3. Resource Planning – Interface Overhaul – We heard your feedback and we greatly improved the Resource Planning interface and overall experience. Resource Planning - Navigation The new user interface makes it easier to navigate between views, and presents your data in a cleaner and more concise fashion. You can also now quickly access Resource Planning from anywhere in ClickTime via the tab at the top of every page.
  4. Integration – We added an Integration area under the Company tab to make it easier to find information on integrating ClickTime with other applications including Google Apps, QuickBooks, OpenID, Single-Sign On (SSO) and Web Services (SOAP and REST).
  5. Report Formatting – We adjusted the page size on some reports to better use the full page height. This results in more information per page and reducing the number of total pages in PDF reports.
  6. Bugfix: Report Builder and Firefox – Sharing Report Builder custom reports works properly with versions 18 or 19 of the Firefox web browser.
  7. Bugfix: Timesheet Completeness Dashboard Panel – The "Full Report" link works for companies with many divisions.
  8. Bugfix: Project Availability Report – The Project Availability report works for managers with reporting permissions on all divisions.

ClickTime 7.14

We updated ClickTime to version 7.14 with improvements to Resource Planning and Firefox compatibility. This is the first update of 2013 and you can expect to see more frequent updates and feature enhancements in the coming year. Here's what's new in this release:

  1. Resource Planning
    Resource_Planning_and_Project_List_ControlsMany companies create Project List Controls that define which people have access to specific clients and projects. This information can now be utilized in Resource Planning when selecting people and projects. For example, you can now choose to manage one particular set of projects and then select to only see people that have access to those projects.
  2. Firefox 18 – We implemented a workaround for a bug in the new Firefox version 18.
